Hassel Free with SaaS

Software-as-a-Service, SaaS, is a great way for companies to experiment with scheduling software without purchasing an entirely new system. Sometimes associated with “pay as you go” methods, SaaS allows manufactures to purchase software on a monthly or quarterly basis, per transaction, event or other unit of value to the customer. SaaS means there is much less upfront expense and more flexibility in licensing terms. Thus, allowing companies who may be struggling with their current scheduling system the opportunity to modify and organize their scheduling processes. Keep in mind though, if a company does decide to purchase a SaaS system the monthly fee will continuously be in existence and they will never own the software.

SaaS is delivered over the Internet and is becoming increasingly popular for its ability to simplify deployment and reduce customer acquisition costs. One strong benefit of SaaS is that the set up is very easy and usage is easy to understand with little training time required The software server is managed by the vendor who backs up the data and will routinely update the application for their customers. Manufactures of the software system enjoy the ability to re-produce and market the same product to multiple customers. While the software may be tailored in some ways, it is not always modified specifically to the customer’s needs and desires. There are however, some SaaS systems that do allow for integration with other software systems. Of course SaaS may not be the best fit for every business. However, when it is properly chosen it has the ability for companies to save time, money and headaches.
